Remember – if you bulk import categories in phpld using phpmyadmin you will need to update the category count. You do this by running this sql query after you have imported them to your database backend:
update PLD_CATEGORY_SEQ
set id = (SELECT id
FROM PLD_CATEGORY
ORDER BY ID DESC
LIMIT 1)

* PHPLD FREE USERS – Warning! phpld 2.x free software does not have the caching facilities of the paid version (v3.x) and so using large category dumps may result in your directory overusing server resources and possible account suspension / termination by your host. You have been warned!
IMPORTANT – Use the files at your own risk! No warranty is implied and no support is offered.
These files are designed for use on a new installation.
Using them in a database that has link or category data in it already will probably break your directory!
The only data affected by these files is the categories – everything else is left ‘as is’
Make backups before you do ANYTHING!
THESE FILES ARE NOT FOR RESALE!
TIP – If you don’t already have it, download and install Notepad++. It can handle any type of programming file… including .php and .sql.
