Stargate Universe – cancelled.
Caprica – cancelled.
So Syfy have cancelled Stargate Universe and also Caprica. Syfy sucks (see addition of wrestling to their scheduling and it gives a clue how badly).
Okay, SGU dragged a bit but if Syfy had actually asked some fans what they thought would speed it up and generate a bit of pace into the series I’m sure they would have been inundated with ideas, some of which I’m sure wouldn’t have involved horrible deaths for the writers.
As for Caprica – totally gutted when that show was pulled. It was shaping up to be a contender against the televisual masterpiece that was its parent – Battlestar Galactica.
So, f*ck you, Syfy. Hope you wither away into stardust – it’s certainly where you’re headed.
While I’m at it – f*ck you Sky for cancelling ‘Must Be The Music.’ You should’ve given this breath of fresh air time to gain traction and also franchised it to one of the terrestrial channels for simultaneous broadcast.
A double or triple f-you also, to Sky TV, for nuking Channel One, Bravo and Bravo 2, some my favourite channels but hey, I’m only a male and now don’t fall into your target demographic, which is female. Apparently “BSkyB has failed to target the female market as successfully as Living TV” and this is why they are running with the LivingTV brand at the expense of their male audience. Btw, Sky TV, don’t try and spin me the line that the programmes will now be available on the Sky1, 2 or 3 channels – the point was Channel One, Bravo and Bravo 2 were an alternative to watching the garbage that’s forced down our gullets on these channels.
So f-you 5 times over – one for each cancellation and one for sticking two digital fingers up to your male audience.
