Christini Ricci fansite forces fur rethink

Christini Ricci has reportedly announced she will no longer wear fur after her biggest fan site closed down in protest.

The website, www.christinaricci.info, currently has the following headline: “Offline due to fur usage“; with the following statement: “Well, that’s it. I’ve had this Christina Ricci fan page for almost 8 years (since januari 1999), but I recently found out Christina doesn’t appear to have a problem wearing fur. Well, I do. I also have a problem with people who wear fur. Conclusion: I have a problem with Christina. And now that problem is solved, because I don’t have a website about her anymore, so I no longer have anything to do with her.

There is some talk that the website will reopen now that Ricci has publicly committed not to wear furs again after also making it into the top10 worst dressed list by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).

Web power forces a change in behaviour. Awesome.

Suffolk Serial Killer’s First Victim?

A woman was found dead in woods by a couple walking their dog. She was naked and partially covered by snow.

18-year-old Carol Lannen had been stripped and her body dumped in Templeton Woods, at an area which was used by courting couples seeking privacy, on the outskirts of Dundee.

Carol Lannen worked as a prostitutue in the city’s red light area.

Some of her belongings were found on the banks of the River Don, near Kintore in Aberdeenshire, eleven days later.

She had been strangled.

Sound familiar?

The M.O. or modus operandi (modes of operation) is remarkably similar to the current Suffolk Strangler murders. What is striking is the lengths taken by the murderer to dispose of any forensic evidence.

Forensically aware … in 1979.
